More attention to health and greater productivity and innovation through company programmes dedicated to well-being: The Jobrapido model.
7 April marks the 75th World Health Day: on this occasion, the World Health Organization is promoting the slogan #HealthForAll and thus renewing its commitment, which began in 1948, to guarantee every individual’s right to public assistance and well-being.
Over time, the issue of health and well-being in general has also become important in the working environment, leading to the development and implementation by companies of fully-fledged “corporate well-being” programmes.
Jobrapido has always paid close attention to the well-being of its employees and, over the years, has developed several initiatives that go in this direction.
In particular, from this year it has decided to support World Health Day by implementing a new corporate well-being program: a fully-fledged wellness programme designed, inspired and managed by the employees themselves who, according to their own timescales and preferences, simultaneously engage in physical and team-building activities.
For companies, well-being is truly good for business
According to the Workplace Health Resource Center, well-being in the workplace is defined as the ability of individuals to cope with the normal stresses of everyday life while working productively and realising their full potential.
And that’s not all: for companies, Corporate Well-being activities are not just a trend but also a great opportunity in many respects. Studies have shown that a correct work-life balance ensures greater creativity and more innovation by increasing productivity, performance and talent retention.
Beyond the company:
true “corporate well-being” is an invitation to a healthy life
“Corporate Well-being” means any activity to promote health in the workplace or any policy designed by an organisation to encourage employees to take care of themselves and their health, including mental health, to which financial and other incentives may be added to encourage participation.
Through these well-being programmes, employers offer initiatives that enable employees not only to take care of their health at work but also to unwind, rest and recharge their energies during their leisure time.
Jobrapido Wellness Program:
the Jobrapido Corporate Wellness Programme
The Jobrapido Wellness Program supplements an already active corporate well-being plan designed to improve the work-life balance and promote talent retention among employees.
Here are some of the initiatives undertaken by the company in recent years:
• Work-Life Balance: a policy was introduced to encourage smart working that includes, among other things, flexible work times together with the possibility to use suitable tools for better remote working.
• Team Building activities: The Jobrapido offices are structured to offer suitable spaces that encourage people to take a break and to meet and chat to colleagues, not only within the office but also through events for leisure and meeting up outside the workplace.
• Coaching and Training Meetings: paying close attention to the growth and training of its teams, the company organises ongoing training and analysis courses, such as remotely delivered foreign language courses, and also fully-fledged coaching sessions on topics relevant to personal and professional growth.
• Corporate Welfare Plan: introduced in 2022, this offers all employees a varied package of benefits including a budget to spend on everyday purchases such as shopping, fuel, gyms, courses, holidays and medical expenses, entry to spas and wellness centres, and to take out personal insurance or private pension funds.
Rethinking the concept of well-being: starting from the workplace
The World Health Organization regards employment as a “social determinant of health”, something that can profoundly affect the daily well-being of an individual, underlining that the traditional dividing line between work and other personal activities is steadily fading.
The implementation of Corporate Well-being plans shows us that the time has come to change the way we think about well-being also, and above all, in the workplace.
Through Corporate Well-being the workplace is redesigned: it is not just a place from which to “disengage”, but is also becoming an environment for people to start actively thinking about their health.
